The Washington D.C. Chapter, 50+ Years of Excellence:
The Washington, D.C. Chapter is one of the oldest and largest chapters of NCMA. Its members include a distinguished list of movers and shakers in contracting. Chartered in 1964, the D.C. Chapter has nearly 1,500 members, including the highest proportion of agency senior procurement executives of any chapter. The chapter also has the largest number of NCMA Fellows of any chapter.
The chapter draws on leading figures in government, industry, politics, and academia to engage in emerging acquisition topics. Meetings are held monthly on third Wednesdays from September through June. To supplement its monthly program and provide additional career development opportunities, the chapter sponsors a Outstanding Academic Achievement Award, offers topical webinars and seminars, supports the Contract Management Leadership Development Program (CMLDP), and delivers a robust and interactive CPCM review class.
By tradition, the chapter wraps up the Program Year with Fellows’ Night, where the program focuses on a wrap-up of key acquisition issues and celebrates the contributions of its many NCMA Fellows.
