Ben Shih is a FAC-C Level III Contracting Officer within the Environmental Protection Agency’s Headquarters Procurement and Operations Division, primary serving Agency organizations in the acquisition of professional and logistics services. Ben has been with the EPA and the Federal Government since November 2010. Ben recently passed the exam for Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) with NCMA.
Prior to joining the Federal Government, Ben was an associate attorney for three years at the Seattle law firm Helsell Fetterman LLP where he practiced in the firm’s commercial litigation group. Ben graduated cum laude from the Seattle University School of Law in 2007, where he was the symposium editor of the Seattle University Law Review. Ben is also a graduate of the University of Washington in Seattle with a double bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Political Science.
While he benefited greatly from the practice of law, he has enjoyed the transition into public service with its work/life balance and the ability to combine his interests in business, law, and Government into a single profession. When not at work, Ben enjoys cycling, reading, and raising his two children.
