W. Glenn Yarborough, Jr. retired after twenty seven years from the United States Army as a Colonel and is Principal and Founder of WGY & Associates LLC, a high technology defense, management, and government relations consulting practice located in McLean, Virginia with specialty in Defense and Homeland Security and congressional relations advice.
Yarborough retired as President and Chief Executive Officer of Allied Research Corporation a publicly traded, multinational Defense & Security firm. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Carleton Technologies, EADS North American Defense Company, Valentec Systems, the Patton Museum of Armor and Cavalry, the U.S. Cavalry Association(serves on Finance Committee), So Others Might Eat (SOME), Easter Seals(serves on Audit Committee), Friends of the McLean Community Center, the National Guard Association Corporate Advisory Panel, and the Board of Advisors of the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina (serves on Finance Committee). He is a Trustee of the National Defense Industrial Association (serves on the audit committee). He is a past Eagle Scout (1954) and serves as the current president of the McLean Rotary Club.
Yarborough has a BS & MBA from the University of South Carolina. He hails from Edgefield, South Carolina and resides at Fiddler’s Green in Thomson, Georgia, the McLean House in McLean, Virginia and the Betsy G on Edisto Island, South Carolina.
