certification Boot Camps and outstanding academic achievement award (OAAA)

The NCMA DC Chapter offers five-week boot camps for all four NCMA certification programs throughout the year.

The Chapter also awards its Outstanding Academic Achievement Award (OAAA) annually to exceptional students in the procurement field. The OAAA is highly regarded in government and industry, and past winners have frequently gone on to leadership roles. The 2024 OAAA application is open through March 31, 2024.

NCMA NATIONAL Training courses

NCMA provides training opportunities for individuals and teams, including online prep for certification. Convenient from home or office, these courses make it easy for you to discover more and push your career ahead. NCMA also offers in-person events to help you enhance your industry knowledge and expand your network.

Learn about qualifying for NCMA's four certifications: Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM); Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM); Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM); and Certified Contract Management Associate (CCMA). The certification program is designed to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance, and distinguish those who demonstrate expertise in contract management. Meeting rigorous standards for experience, education, training, and knowledge is what gets you certified. Certification is what expands your opportunities.

Connect and engage with acquisition, procurement, and contract management professionals at NCMA’s national conferences — World Congress, Nexus, and SubCon. The events offer an array of topics and educational sessions, world-class speakers and contract management thought leaders, and numerous networking opportunities.

contract management leadership development program (CMLDP)

The highly competitive CMLDP is designed to develop our next generation of leaders through an intensive educational experience focused on leadership training, mentoring, and networking. Participants will receive approximately 160 hours of top-quality education during this 12-month program. A primary goal of the program is to propel graduates into leadership positions, armed with the tools they will need to succeed.

NCMA Fellow Designation

The Fellow designation recognizes those who have made significant contributions to contracting and to NCMA. Although the specific criteria have evolved over time, the broad categories of service required for selection as an NCMA Fellow have remained the same. Open to NCMA Members only.
